Every year, Apple releases a brand new iPhone, and this year is no different. The iPhone 15 is due for release in the fall, but you will still be able to buy older models at lower prices. You could pick any iPhone that is priced right, but what if it doesn’t have the features you want? How do you choose the right iPhone for you?
The Most Up To Date:
That would be the iPhone 15 if you are prepared to wait. There are four models expected:
- iPhone 15
- iPhone 15 Plus
- iPhone 15 Pro
- iPhone 15 Pro Max
New features are rumored to be included, such as new camera systems, including a rumored periscope lens and large sensors, up to 1 TB storage space on the Pro/Pro Max models, new, sleeker design with thinner bezels, and much more besides.
iPhone sizes will be 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch.
The Best Camera:
With the updates coming to the iPhone 15, you might be best to wait for that, but the iPhone 14/Pro models also have a pretty great camera system. With the Pro/Max iPhone 14 models, you get three cameras, compared to two on the iPhone 14. The iPhone 14 has a 12MP main camera, while the Pro/Max models have an impressive 48MP.
The iPhone 15/Plus models are rumored to have a double camera on the rear, while the Pro/Max models will get a triple system. All will have a 48MP main camera, and it’s rumored that we will finally see a periscope camera lens on the Pro Max model.
Does Size Matter?
Most of the recent iPhones have come in standard sizes, and it looks like the iPhone 15 will be no different. The base models are all 6.1-inch while the Pro and Max models are 6.7-inch. However, they will differ in bezel size, with the iPhone 15 having a slimmer bezel than all previous models. If you are happy with a large phone, then go for the Pro or Max models, but if your hands are small or you don’t have pocket space, you might want to stick with the smaller base models.
If Price Matters?
If price is more important to you and you just want an iPhone regardless of features, you have several options. Apple will continue to sell the iPhone 13 and 14 models when the next generation is released, and they are likely to be lower in price.
For now, their starting prices are:
- iPhone 13: $699
- iPhone 14: $799
- iPhone 14 Pro: $999
- iPhone 14 Plus: $899
- iPhone 14 Pro Max: $1099
- iPhone 15: $799
- iPhone 15 Plus: $999
- iPhone 15 Pro: $1099
- iPhone 15 Pro Max: $1299
Of course, the iPhone 15 prices are just rumors at the moment, but we can expect them to be higher than the iPhone 14.
Alongside larger storage sizes (up to 1TB) and longer battery life on the iPhone 15 models, how you choose the right iPhone for you is down to personal choice. Most people prefer to upgrade every couple of years, and what you choose is down to what you need your iPhone to do. If you don’t need all the bells and whistles, buy one of the iPhone 13 or 14 models but if you want the best, wait for the iPhone 15.
